We take a closer look at the new nubia Music Pro, the company's latest affordable music-focused smartphone. |
Nubia Music Pro's vinyl-inspired design and LED notification |
In particular, it comes with the UNISOC T7200, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The phone features the colorful vinyl record-inspired design, which builds upon the previous generation. It supports DTS:X Ultra Audio and a 2.1 loud ultra-speaker.
In the Philippines, the Nubia Music Pro is priced at PHP 4,299.
Let's take a look at it.
Unboxing/Accessories
 |
Nubia Music Pro box inclusions |
It comes in bright yellow packaging with stunning artwork and Nubia branding. Around the box are the key specs and features, and the regulatory information.
The phone, wall charger, USB-A to USB-C cable, SIM ejector, silicone case, and documentation are included in the box.
Unfortunately, there are no earphones in the box, probably because they believe that you will be using the loudspeaker mode.
Build Quality/Design
 |
Nubia Music Pro looks and feels premium for its price |
At first glance, the phone is eye-catching because of the bright colors and its massive orange speaker. Depending on the angle of light, some fit and finish glistens uniquely.
This is the Melody Wave variant. It is also available in the comic-inspired Pop Art paint finish.
Upon holding the phone, you immediately notice its solid build despite its budget pricing. The softened curves with the glass panel and metallic frame add to the overall experience of looking and feeling more expensive than it actually is.
 |
Nubia Music Pro's screen |
In front is the aforementioned 6.7-inch screen, which has a 1600 x 720 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It features the Live Island 2.0 interactive notifications panel. Not the sharpest, but decent for the price.
Budget phone with a top-center punch-hole screen
Around the panel are asymmetrical bezels where the chin bezel is thicker than the rest, but acceptable for the price.
The punch hole with the selfie camera is on the upper part of the panel. Above it and inside the top bezel is the slim earpiece.
 |
Nubia Music Pro's top and bottom |
On top is a single microphone port, while at the bottom are the bottom-firing speaker grills, USB-C port, microphone port, and 3.5mm audio jack.
The SIM tray accommodates up to two nano SIM cards and a microSD card. There is no rubber gasket and no IP rating.
 |
Nubia Music Pro's left and right |
On the left is the SIM tray, while on the right are the volume rocker and the power button. The power button is red. Both buttons have decent resistance to them, while feeling somewhat satisfying when pressed.
 |
Nubia Music Pro's rear cameras and main speaker |
The back has the 50MP f/1.8 main camera and an AI camera with an LED flash.
 |
Nubia Music Pro's front-facing cameras |
While in front has a 5MP selfie camera on a punch hole.

Quick thoughts
 |
Nubia Music Pro web surfing |
Priced at PHP 4,299 and with a clear focus on music-themed visuals and music-focused hardware, the Nubia Music Pro is definitely for practical buyers who put music playback as their priority.
For its price, the speaker gets impressively loud, and the sound quality holds up well, especially if you avoid maxing out the volume. It even rivals some pricier mid-range smartphones.

Geekbench and CPDT results |
I'm still not done testing it, but it is also a decent performer so far.
The design is fun and unique, the screen produces images with decent brightness and readability, the entry-level 12nm UNISOC T7200 octa-core processor is usable at this price point, and it can last for quite a while using its 5,000mAh capacity.
Anyway, for those who are interested, the phone is available on the TikTok shop for as low as PHP 3,780.
What do you guys think?
