POCO M7 Plus 5G launched: SD6sG3, 144Hz FHD+ LCD, 50MP rear camera, and 7,000mAh battery

In India, POCO introduced the M7 Plus, equipped with Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, a 144Hz LCD screen, a 50MP main rear camera, and a 7,000 mAh battery.

Massive 7,000mAh Battery, Slim Body

The brand is advertising the new smartphone as having the largest display in the segment with its massive 6.9-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 2,340 x 1,080 resolution, a 550 nits peak brightness, and a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. It has a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio and is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected.

It measures 168.48 x 80.45 x 8.4mm and weighs 217 grams. It is available in either Chrome Silver, Aqua Blue, or Carbon Black colorways. It is IP64 dust and water resistance rated.

Inside is the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 5G octa-core processor, Adreno 619 GPU, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2, microSD card expansion, and a 7,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 18W fast reverse wired charging via USB-C.

At the back of the phone are the 50MP main camera, the secondary camera, and an LED flash, while in front is the 8MP front-facing camera.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and dual-NanoSIM.

Running the show is Android 15-based HyperOS with the promise of 2 generations of Android updates and 4 years of software and security updates.

There is no word yet on international or Philippine availability and pricing.
