Announced last July 2025, the new TP-Link Archer BE220 offers advanced WiFi 7 technology, dual band frequency, up to 3.6Gbps speeds, plentiful ports, and more for just PHP 2,399.

TP-Link Archer BE220: The most affordable WiFi 7 in PH—Here's why it's a must-have

1. Latest WiFi 7 for less - This device makes one of the most affordable WiFi 7 technologies at under PHP 2.5K, bringing ultra-fast speeds for your home network.
Stable online streaming

TP-Link says this is capable of producing up to 3.6Gbps speeds, making it ideal for streaming high-resolution 4K or 8K videos with zero stutter, instantly downloading big files or apps, or experiencing seamless games online.

It supports dual-band frequencies such as 2.4GHz for stable connectivity and a wide range, while the 5GHz band will prioritize speeds over range.

2. 4 antennas + Beamforming technology - Equipped with four high-gain antennas and Beamforming technology, the TP-Link Archer BE220 can minimize WiFi dead zones in your home.

The four antennas ensure wide coverage, while Beamforming intelligently detects connected devices and focuses the signal toward them, boosting speed, range, and reliability.

It is also compatible with TP-Link EasyMesh technology, ensuring a whole-home WiFi experience with no dead spots.

3. Future-proof WiFi 7 perks - MLO and EasyMesh - Just like its big sibling, the BE220 utilizes Multi-Link Operation or MLO, which can merge bands together, providing users a lag-free connection.

The router is also EasyMesh-ready, so if you have a bigger home or office establishment, using a Mesh system will provide better coverage and eliminate dead spots for that uninterrupted connection.

4. Connects to multiple devices - While the brand did not specify how many devices it can handle, the TP-Link says it can connect to multiple devices, ranging from smartphones, tablets, laptops, PCs, and TVs.

This was made possible thanks to the 2.0GHz quad-core CPU + 512MB RAM, making it smarter and faster.

5. Quick setup and user-friendly interface - The router is technically a plug-and-play device with a little bit of setup using the app or web browser to access the admin page.

For the browser, you just need to enter http://tplinkwifi.net in the address bar of your browser. Create a password to log in and follow the steps.

For the app, just scan the QR code or download it from the Google Play Store or App Store.

It has pretty much similar steps, just create an account with Google, log in with your credentials, and from there, the app will give you instant access to the control dashboard.

6. Enhanced security - as mentioned earlier, the Archer BE220 also boasts built-in security and smart management tools using TP-Link HomeShield.

This provides strong protection on your network with customizable settings such as parental controls, activity tracking, and device priority management.

You can even isolate a specific IoT device to safeguard it from digital threats, ensuring your private data is protected at all times.

7. Compact design + sufficient ports - The new BE220 is also surprisingly small for the features it offers. It is well-built with secure rubber feet and is significantly smaller than the BE230 last year, allowing you to fit the router even in tight spaces with ease.

Moreover, it has 1x1 Gbps WAN, 4x 1 Gbps LAN ports, a reset button, a power button, and a DC port.

Our thoughts

The TP-Link Archer BE220  BE3600 delivers a feature-packed WiFi 7 experience at a fraction of the cost of its predecessor.

Coming from old routers and intending to have a compact router with faster speed, better range, stability, and enhanced security measures without breaking the bank, this one deserves a spot on your shortlist.
