REDMI 15 5G now official in PH: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, 7,000mAh battery, PHP 7,999

Xiaomi launched its newest budget 5G-ready phone in the country called the REDMI 15 5G. This phone features a massive battery capacity.

What are the key features of the new REDMI 15 5G?

7,000mAh on a budget

First, the device packs a massive 7,000mAh battery capacity. According to the company, it has up to 2.26 days of light daily use of up to 25 hours of video playback.

Moreover, this is a durable battery with 1,600 charge cycles before reaching 80 percent of its original capacity.

It also has a 33W fast charging support and an 18W reverse charging power bank mode.

Next, the phone uses a stylish quad-curved aesthetic for a comfortable yet stylish grip. It is available in Ripple Green, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black colors. It also has an aluminum metal alloy camera deco and IP64 dust and water resistance.

The handset is also packed with a large 6.9-inch LCD (IPS) screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution at 395 ppi, and Wet Touch Technology 2.0. This is also said to be a comfortable screen with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (Software Solution) Certified, TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly Certified, and TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free Certified. 

Inside, the handset is powered by the 2.3GHz 6nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU. Xiaomi claims that this is speedy enough to record a decent 490,000+ AnTuTu benchmark score.

It is paired with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM (16GB RAM with Memory extension) and 128GB UFS 2.2 expandable internal storage.

For cameras, it uses a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter with an Auxiliary lens and an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera. This camera has AI Erase, AI Sky, Auto night mode, and Selfie beauty mode.

The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 200 percent volume speaker, dual-band WiFi, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

The phone runs on HyperOS 2.0 skin with Gemini AI and Circle to Search with Google. Xiaomi claims that this also has a 48-month like-new software experience.
