OPPO Pad 5 launched: Dimensity 9400+, 3K 12.1-inch LCD, 10,420mAh battery

Apart from the Find X9 Series, the company also launched the OPPO Pad 5, positioned as a flagship productivity tablet.

The OPPO Pad 5 will be available in three color variants: Lucky Purple, Galaxy Silver, and Deep Space Gray. The device measures 5.99mm thick and weighs 577 grams for the matte version.

The display

It features a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a crisp 3000 x 2120 resolution at 304 PPI, a 7:5 aspect ratio, and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144Hz. There's also a matte version that uses nano-etching to reduce ambient reflection by 97 percent and improve clarity by 22 percent.

The display also offers a 540Hz touch sampling rate, 900 nits peak brightness, 10.7 billion colors, and 98 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and received a TÜV Rheinland certification for eye protection.

Powerful chip for gaming

The tablet runs on a 3.73GHz 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset with Immortalis G925 MC12 GPU and achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 3.05 million. 

The chip is also supported by Tidal Engine for dynamic performance tuning and a Tiangong cooling system with a 39 percent larger heat dissipation area. 

It is paired with 8GB/12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

A 10,420mAh battery powers the device, supporting 67W USB-C SUPERVOOC fast charging. OPPO states that a 10-minute charge can provide up to 10 hours of video playback. 

For photography, both the front and rear cameras are 8MP sensors. They support 4K video recording at 30fps with electronic stabilization across all resolutions, a Super Steady mode for 1080p at 30fps, and a 1080p time-lapse option.

For connectivity, the tablet supports WiFi 7, Bluetooth with aptX HD, LDAC, and LHDC 5.0 codecs, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.

The OPPO Pad 5 launches with ColorOS 16, which is optimized for multitasking with support for up to five active windows. The software also supports advanced cross-device connectivity for file sharing and includes education-focused tools.

The tablet is scheduled to be available in China starting on October 22.
