The wearable measures 8.9mm in thickness and weighs 35 grams. It comes in three color options, namely Vibrant Green, Rhythmic Silver, and Racing Black.

It also uses stainless steel cases and fluororubber and woven straps, depending on the model. Additionally, it packs 5ATM and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance and has received a military-grade durability rating.

The device features a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with a typical brightness of 600 nits and a pixel density of 317 PPI, protected by durable glass. When using OPPO's self-developed sports mode, the screen can reach a peak brightness of 3000 nits.

Inside is 4GB of eMMC storage and features up to 10 days of battery life. It also needs atleast under 90 minutes to fully charge the smartwatch.

Health and wellness functions include a 16-channel blood oxygen sensor, an 8-channel heart rate sensor, ECG electrodes, and a wrist temperature sensor. The watch can perform a 60-second full-body assessment covering 13 health indicators and provide alerts if anomalies are detected. Its ECG application is certified as a Class II medical device in China.

Additional monitoring capabilities cover vascular health, sleep quality—including snoring and breathing patterns—and stress levels.

OPPO describes the Watch S as the first AI sports coach, which evaluates the user's physical readiness by analyzing factors such as heart rate variability during sleep and recent workout history. It then suggests exercise plans and provides real-time guidance during runs, including pace and heart rate tracking.

A professional running mode analyzes running posture, maximum oxygen uptake, and lactate threshold, while a fat-burning mode helps users maintain an optimal heart rate zone.

The device is equipped with a BES2800BP chip and supports dual-band GPS with compatibility for BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS systems. It connects via Bluetooth 5.2 to both Android 10.0+ and iOS 14.0+ devices.

It operates on ColorOS Watch 7.1 rather than Wear OS certification. The watch supports Alipay and WeChat Pay, as well as OPPO's Fluid Cloud service for ride-hailing and delivery tracking.

It also includes an upgraded Xiaobu Assistant with memory functions and voice-controlled car features, and it can be connected to two phones at the same time.
