E for Extreme?
HONOR has confirmed that the X9e Pro will launch in Malaysia, following an early appearance at the country's National Day parade.
It is the first Pro model in HONOR's X Series, a lineup that has been the top-selling mid-range smartphone series for four consecutive generations.
The "e" in the name refers to "EXTREME," reflecting three upgrades HONOR is highlighting for the device:
- Battery capacity - described as among the largest in its class, though the exact figure has not been disclosed.
- Drop resistance - improved protection against everyday drops and impacts.
- Water resistance - upgraded compared to previous X Series models.
In terms of design, the device has been seen in a dark purple finish with light gold accents on the frame and camera module.
According to rumors, the X9e Pro is based on China's HONOR X80 Pro Max, which features a massive 11,000mAh battery. If this is true, we're seeing a 2,700mAh increase from the predecessor.
HONOR has not yet announced a launch date, pricing, or full specifications. Meanwhile, a teaser page is live on HONOR Malaysia's website, where users can subscribe for updates ahead of the official launch.
