Filipinos can invest in Arthaland's Preferred Shares via GCash

Investors will be able to participate in Arthaland Corporation's (ALCO) upcoming Series G and H preferred share offering through GStocks PH, a platform offered by broker AB Capital Securities Inc. within the GCash app.

The shares are priced at PHP 500 each. Series G (ALCPG) carries a dividend rate of 7.3260% per annum, while Series H (ALCPH) carries a rate of 7.8105% per annum, subject to the terms and conditions of the issue.

Preferred shares typically pay fixed dividends and give holders priority over common shareholders in receiving dividend payments. While the offer period runs from September 14 to September 18.

The offering expands the range of investment options available to retail investors through digital platforms, which have sought to address barriers that have traditionally made stock market participation less convenient.

Previously, retail investors typically needed a separate bank account to begin trading and had to coordinate with a physical broker to take part in share issuances, including follow-on offerings.

GStocks PH's digital subscription feature for IPOs and follow-on offerings makes the process more accessible and transparent.

The platform includes a subscription meter and real-time updates on the broker's share allocation, allowing investors to check availability and confirm their allocation at the time of subscription rather than waiting until the offer period closes.

If the broker's initial tranche is fully subscribed and the offering becomes oversubscribed on GStocks PH, investors can still place orders, with allocation results provided after the offer period ends.

Financial inclusion is not only about more financial services. It is about creating a simpler, more rewarding experience that keeps Filipinos' needs in mind. By digitizing financial services and making investing more convenient, we make it easier for Filipinos to participate and take greater control of their financial journeys, said Winsley Bangit, Group Head of New Businesses at Mynt.

Fully verified GCash users can access the offering by opening the GCash app, selecting "Invest," and choosing GStocks PH.

The platform offers instant onboarding for new users and allows free fund transfers to and from the GCash wallet without requiring a bank account.

GStocks PH said the offering is part of its broader effort to expand digital access to securities offerings and broaden participation in the capital markets.
