PLDT Enterprise, GSMA, and Regulators launch SmartSafe for safer digital access

In partnership with GSMA and key Philippine regulators (DICT, BSP, NPC, NTC), PLDT Enterprise recently launched SmartSafe.

SmartSafe launched!

Smart Safe is the country's first telco-enabled fraud management API suite, globally certified by GSMA and aligned with national standards.

Blums Pineda, SVP and Head of Enterprise Business Group at PLDT and Smart explains that at the heart of SmartSafe is SilentAccess, a real-time authentication tool that eliminates SMS-based OTPs, offering faster, simpler, and safer logins via Smart's nationwide network. 

SmartSafe will soon expand and it will include:

• NetIdentity: SIM and device verification
• GeoCheck: Real-time network location
• RoamStatus: Roaming activity confirmation
• KYCPlus: Enhanced identity checks via network intelligence

Powered by Smart, backed by GSMA, and supported by Nabstract, SmartSafe equips enterprises with next-gen tools to protect users and simplify digital access.

Timed with International Fraud Awareness Month, the launch highlights industry-regulator collaboration to fight scams and cyber threats.
