vivo Pad5 Pro Soft Light Edition announced: Dimensity 9400, Anti-glare coating, and 12,050mAh battery

vivo has officially launched the Vivo Pad 5 Pro Soft Light Edition in China.

Flagship tablet, but safer on the eyes

This model maintains the core specifications of the previously released Pad 5 Pro while introducing a new display coating designed to reduce glare and improve visual comfort. The chassis measures 5.96mm in thickness, while the device weighs 578 grams overall.

The tablet features a 13-inch 3.1K display with a resolution of 3096 x 2064 and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It boasts a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and supports a 144Hz refresh rate. 

The key upgrade is a soft light coating intended to minimize reflections and eye strain. vivo incorporates dual-sided light input technology for brightness efficiency and ecosystem-level color management for consistency across applications.

The display and design colors

Powering the device is the 3.63GHz 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor. It is paired with an extensive 40,600mm² VC cooling system to manage thermals under sustained loads. The tablet is offered in 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB memory configurations.

It is equipped with a 12,050mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.

The camera system includes a 13MP rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing snapper.

Other features are an eight-speaker panoramic audio system, which provides an immersive sound experience.

Compatible accessories include the Pencil 3 stylus, Smart Touch Keyboard 5 Pro, and a Smart Dual-Sided Protective Case 5 Pro.

Connectivity features are WiFi 7 (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

Finally, the tablet runs on OriginOS 5, which offers enhanced multitasking and PC-level WPS document handling.

Sales are now live in China through vivo Mall, JD.com, and other major retailers. No word yet on availability in the Philippines.
