Are you excited about this partnership?

Apple and Google have entered a multi-year partnership.

According to an Inquirer report, this deal will power Apple's next-generation artificial intelligence features with Google's Gemini technology. This partnership also covers the iPhone company's Siri assistant.

Their joint statement said that Apple had selected Google's AI technology after a “careful evaluation” determined that it provided “the most capable foundation” for the iPhone-maker’s AI ambitions.

However, Elon Musk, who owns his own AI company xAI, called this deal anti-competitive, calling it "an unreasonable concentration of power for Google, given that they also have Android and Chrome."

Apple reportedly had also considered partnerships with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Perplexity.

What do you think?
