REDMAGIC 11 Air tipped to feature 7,000mAh battery, and Snapdragon 8 Elite

REDMAGIC has released further details for its upcoming REDMAGIC 11 Air smartphone ahead of its January 20 launch.

The company emphasizes that the "Air" designation does not indicate a reduction in core performance capabilities.

Regarding design, the device features a transparent back panel that reveals internal components, a styling choice associated with the brand's gaming-focused devices.

The display is described as utilizing an ultra-narrow bezel design.

For processing and memory, the phone is going to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and is aided by the Red Core R4 gaming chip. Additionally, it will also feature an LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

Among the highlighted features is its massive 7,000mAh capacity cited as the largest in an "Air" model from the brand. It is going to be paired with a 120W USB-C wired charging and includes a bypass charging mode for gameplay while plugged in.

The camera specifications were not detailed in this preview.

But among other features, the phone includes physical shoulder triggers for gaming control and a built-in PC emulator.

It also incorporates an active cooling system with a 24,000RPM fan and an enhanced vapor chamber, which the company states is a first for an "Air" model. The CUBE Sky Engine is noted for graphics processing optimizations.

The device will also run REDMAGIC OS 11.0 with several AI features, including tools for image-based search, screen translation, and real-time dialogue, alongside AI-assisted gaming functions for tactical suggestions.

Pricing and market availability are scheduled to be announced at the full launch event on January 20.
