nubia recently introduced its first smartphone of the year in the Philippines, the V80 Max.

The new nubia V80 Max is a durable budget phone contender

According to the company, the nubia V80 Max is designed for "power users who want more without paying more."

Contrary to the iPhone 17 Pro-like V80 Design, the nubia V80 Max sports a Galaxy S25-inspired look. The phone is available in Stardust Purple, Stellar Silver, Aurellia Gold, Sky Cyan, and Space Black colors.

In terms of durability, the device features Four-Corner Internal Reinforcement for 360-degree All-Round Protection and a Durable Glass against drops and impacts. It is certified to be drop-resistant up to 1.8 meters by TÜV Rheinland of Germany.

Moreover, it has IP64 dust and water resistance to protect it against light water splashes.

6.9-inch large display of nubia V80 Max

In front, the phone uses a 6.9-inch 120Hz Ultra Large Display with a notch that promises "cinematic viewing" and 780 nits of sunlight-ready peak brightness.

Inside, it has an unspecified type of 1.8GHz octa-core processor, but it has ample 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The battery capacity is 6,000mAh with 4 Years Battery Health.

According to the company, it has a Smart charging algorithm with AI Night Charging, Bypass Charging, and 10W Reverse Charging to protect battery health.

At the back, it has a 50MP AI triple camera system and a 16MP front camera.

The handset also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 200 percent Volume Boost speaker, nubia Sound Effects, nubia Linkfree Bluetooth calling and messaging within a 600-meter range for FREE, and promises precise navigation for accurate real-time guidance.

nubia also added several AI tools like One-Swipe AI Memory to capture screen and organize content, AI Scam Alert, AI Wallpaper, and AI Social Publisher.
