Continuing strong foundations under new leadership
Globe Telecom Inc. has announced the appointment of Cezar "Bong" Consing as its new chairman.
He is replacing Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, who stepped down from the said role but will continue to stay on as chairman of AsiaCom Philippines, Inc., the joint venture company of Ayala Corporation and Singtel.
With his leadership, we are confident Globe will continue to build on its strong foundations and play an even greater role in enabling opportunity, progress, and inclusion in the years ahead, Zobel de Ayala said.
Prior to leading Ayala Corporation, Consing served as President and CEO of Bank of the Philippine Islands from 2013 to 2021.
Earlier in his career, he spent nearly two decades with J.P. Morgan, where he held senior leadership roles across Asia Pacific investment banking, including serving as President of J.P. Morgan Securities Asia. He also served as partner and co-head for Asia of The Rohatyn Group.
He currently serves as chairman of ACEN Corporation and as vice chairman of Bank of the Philippine Islands and Ayala Land, Inc. He also holds leadership roles across several Ayala Group companies and remains active in key business and civic institutions.
