iQOO 15 Apex Edition launched: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 50MP camera, and 7,000mAh battery

The iQOO 15 Apex Edition has launched in India as the brand's powerful flagship killer.

The Apex Edition features a holographic imaging-based dynamic ink wash painting design, described by the company as inspired by Eastern aesthetics. It is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance.

The device is equipped with a 6.85-inch 2K+ curved Samsung M14 8T LTPO AMOLED display. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, along with a 144Hz variable refresh rate. 

The features

The display can show 1.07 billion colors, covers 118 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and reaches up to 2600 nits in high brightness mode and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness. It also includes 2160Hz PWM dimming and DC dimming.

The device is powered by a 4.6GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with Adreno GPU and is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

 There's also a 7,000mAh battery, and it charges with USB-C 100W fast charging and 40W wireless charging.

The rear camera setup comprises a 50MP f/1.88 main camera with a 1/1.49 inch Sony IMX921 sensor and OIS + 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera with a 150 degree FOV and + 50MP f/2.65 Sony IMX882 3x periscope camera w/ OIS. The front camera is 32MP with an f/2.2 aperture.

Additional features include an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. The phone comes with stereo speakers, Hi-Fi audio, and USB Type-C audio. 

Connectivity options: WiFi 7, 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and support for GPS, Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.

The device runs on an unspecified Android version with OriginOS skin.
