New achievement unlocked
Globe At Home's GFiber Prepaid has reached 1 million subscribers, a milestone the company says reflects growing adoption of its prepaid, no lock-up home internet service among Filipino households.
The product operates on a prepaid model with no long-term contracts, positioning it as an option for households seeking flexible connectivity. The announcement comes amid broader economic pressures, including rising living costs and energy challenges.
The subscriber base grew 15% quarter-on-quarter, with higher-value reloads contributing to revenue growth in the prepaid fiber segment. Globe said its expansion strategy prioritizes what it describes as "profitable density over geographic sprawl," focusing on targeted customer acquisition rather than broad geographic rollout.
The service supports connections for up to 15 devices simultaneously, catering to varied household uses such as online learning, remote work, and streaming.
GFiber Prepaid has become a trusted everyday partner at home. It is a reliable WiFi that adapts to real household needs, without long‑term lock‑ins. As we continue to grow this segment, we remain committed to delivering dependable service, accessible offers, and customer-first support that keeps families connected every day, said Abigail Cardino, Vice President and Head of Brand Management, Broadband Business at Globe.
Installation is available within 24 hours, according to Globe. Customer support is accessible through the GlobeOne app and dedicated Alagang Globe Viber groups, with on-site assistance available through the Globe Care-avan service.
Current offers include a free 300 Mbps speed tier, up from a previous 50 Mbps, for a PHP 699 installation fee plus seven days of unlimited internet. Alternatively, subscribers can opt for a 30-day, 100 Mbps plan at PHP 999 with free installation.
