HONOR Play 80 Plus: Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, 7,500mAh battery, and 13MP camera

Apart from the HONOR Play 70C, the brand also introduced the Play 80 Plus.

The 1st device with Snapdragon 4 Gen 4

On the design front, the HONOR Play 80 Plus measures 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.29mm and weighs approximately 205 grams, reflecting a form factor typical of large-battery budget handsets.

The smartphone features a 6.61-inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 1604 x 720 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 20.05:9 aspect ratio. The panel also includes eye protection features aimed at reducing visual fatigue during extended use.

Powering the device is the 2.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, making the HONOR Play 80 Plus the first handset to feature this platform. HONOR claimed that the chipset is engineered for improved power efficiency, enhanced AI processing, and stable connectivity.

Meanwhile, the device is also equipped with a 7,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, catering to users who prioritize long endurance between charges.

Massive battery

For photography, the device includes a 13MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an AI shortcut key for quick app launches.

Connectivity features are WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and dual SIM.

 

The handset runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, bringing HONOR's latest software experience to the entry-level segment.

The phone is now available in China. No word yet for the PH release at the moment.
