GTA VI is now up for pre-order

Rockstar Games opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI on June 25, putting an end to months of speculation about how much the long-awaited title would actually cost.

The publisher had only said pricing wouldn't be "insane," leaving fans to guess what that meant in practice.

Now there's a number: it will be USD 80 (around PHP for the Standard Edition, with a USD 100 Ultimate Edition for players who want more. That's roughly in line with what's become typical for AAA games these days.

Players who pre-order the digital version can start pre-loading on November 12, ensuring everything is ready to go right when the game launches on November 19.

The physical version is essentially a download code inside a box, and that code also activates on November 12. So in practice, the only real difference between the two formats is the box.

The Ultimate Edition includes extra weapons, vehicles, clothing, and tattoos that show up at different points in the story.

US price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

GTA VI Standard edition - USD 80 (around PHP 4,907)
GTA VI Ultimate Edition - USD 100 (around PHP 6,133)

Anyone who pre-orders or buys before November 20—regardless of edition—also gets the Vintage Vice City Pack, which comes with a '55 Vapid Stanier sedan and garage, along with '80s-inspired outfits and hairstyles.

There's a weapon skin in the same pastel color scheme thrown in as well.

What do you guys think?
