ASUS ExpertBook Ultra goes now in PH: Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips, Super durable build, starts at PHP 129,995

Following the teaser, the ASUS ExpertBook finally arrives in the Philippines.

The king of business laptops

Being the flagship of ASUS Business offerings, this device is targeted at top-level executives who are looking for a durable, sleek, powerful, and all-around laptop.

Ultra-thin and lightweight body

It offers an ultra-thin form factor and measures 310.09 x 212.8 x 10.9mm making it way thinner than the competition in the industry. Furthermore, it only weighs 1.09 kg, ideal for travel.

The top view and cover

In terms of build quality, the laptop features a Magnesium-Aluminum alloy + nano liquid ceramic coating (9H hardness), or as coined by the brand as "Ceraluminum". 

This makes the cover look neat while being scratch-resistant and splash-resistant as well.

The bottom view

Speaking of durability, the laptop is able to withstand a weight of 100kg when pressed, while it can also survive drops from a certain level of height.

On the display end, ASUS added a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus to handle scratches or unwanted shattering.

All these features allowed the ExpertBook Ultra to be certified with 24 MIL-STD durability tests besides the 150 internal tests made by the manufacturer.

The display

For the screen, it uses a 14-inch Tandem OLED Matte touch panel with 3K 2880 x 1800 resolution, VRR 30-120Hz refresh rate, 1,400 nits peak brightness, 960Hz native PWM dimming, DisplayHDR True Black 1000.

Inside, the ExpertBook Ultra is going to be available in a range of Intel Core Ultra 3 Series chipsets:

• Intel Core Ultra X7-358H
• Intel Core Ultra X9-388H

Each chip is paired with Intel Arc B390 iGPU and the Xe3 graphics architecture, which delivers performance comparable to an entry-level standalone graphics card (RTX 4050).

The top-end variant also achieves up to 50 TOPS of NPU power, making it reliable for on-device AI tasks (Copilot+ PC support), which could help improve users' work efficiency on the go.

For memory, the laptop is paired with up to 64GB LPDDR5X 9600 MT/s RAM and up to 2TB M.2 PCIe 5.0 SSD configurations.

Battery-wise, the ExpertBook Ultra uses a 70 Wh 4-cell Li-Polymer battery and is charged using a USB-C 90W AC adapter.

There's also a webcam with a privacy shutter to protect against unwanted digital threats.

Additionally, among the ExpertBook Ultra's core features is business-grade security. The company noted it has dual self-healing BIOS, Microsoft Secured-Core PC, match-on-chip fingerprint sensor, and TPM 2.0.

The keyboard

It uses a full-size backlit splash-resistant keyboard with 1.5mm key travel and excimer UV coating, while the touchpad has edge-to-edge haptic feedback with a glass surface. ASUS also added 6 force sensors and an AAC haptic engine for an immersive feel.

For audio, the laptop uses 6x speakers with Dolby Atmos sound support and has 2x multi-array microphones for clear voice pickup. There's also Support Speech Cognition, Smart AMP, and ASUS AI Noise-Canceling Technology.

The ports and slim body

In terms of I/O, the left side has a 1x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C with 4K display, PD3.0 support, 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, 1x HDMI 2.1 TMDS, and 1x 3.5mm audio combo jack.

On the right side, it has 1x Thunderbolt 4 with 4K display and PD3.0 support and 1x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2.

Wireless connectivity features are WiFi 7 (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz) and Bluetooth 6.0.

For OS, the laptop runs on Windows 11 Pro for business or Windows 11 Home for retail.
