Converge ICT Solutions Inc. said its state-of-the-art Angeles Data Center is ready to support the government’s data sovereignty agenda.

According to the company, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited the facility on July 24. This follows the issuance of Executive Order (EO) No. 119, which updates decades-old rules on how state agencies handle digital transactions.

This new decree seeks to enhance cybersecurity and support the secure digital transformation of government through unified rules on data classification, data residency, and cross-border data transfers.

To meet the strict standards under EO 119, Converge said it is offering its 12-megawatt, Uptime Tier III Certified, AI-capable data center in Angeles City—home to its Converge Cloud system—as a localized "sovereign cloud" for the government. This infrastructure enables state agencies to migrate their systems out of costly, foreign-hosted servers and into a secure, highly protected facility operated entirely within national borders.

We built this data center and our entire national digital infrastructure for this exact purpose: to meet the strict demands of highly regulated sectors where absolute control over data is non-negotiable, said Dennis Anthony Uy, Converge CEO and Co-Founder.

By keeping data local, the government reduces cybersecurity risks, ensures continuous service even during international internet disruptions, and keeps critical citizen records under the legal protection of Philippine courts.
