Garmin CIRQA unveiled: Screenless, subscription-free Smart Band for 24/7

Garmin introduced its first screen-free and minimalist health and fitness tracker, the CIRQA.

It is designed to fill a crucial gap in Garmin's lineup, offering a subscription-free 24/7 health monitoring, advanced recovery insights, and multi-sport activity tracking without requiring constant attention or adding screen fatigue. It supports dual-wrist and upper-arm usage versatility, adaptive auto activity detection. Crucially, unlike primary competitors in the screenless space, Garmin provides its core biometric tracking and coaching ecosystem with zero mandatory subscription fees. It supports third-party health integrations & LiveTrack.

The new fitness band is compact and seamless, featuring a curved sensor module housed in a durable, fiber-reinforced polymer case. Measuring just 27 x 47 x 9mm, the main housing features an ultrathin profile that easily slides under shirt sleeves, cycling jerseys, or winter layers without catching.

The sensor module alone weighs a mere 14.8 grams, and with the fabric strap goes up to 21.2 grams. It uses a breathable, soft-woven 24mm ComfortFit fabric band secured by standard 14mm quick-release pins. On the exterior, you won't find a touch screen or status display. The only physical water-rated to 5ATM (50 meters), making it fully swim-proof and safe for continuous shower and pool wear.

Under the hood, the CIRQA packs a comprehensive suite of health and movement sensors, centered around Garmin's optical Elevate Gen 4 HR sensor array alongside a Pulse Ox sensor, skin temperature sensor, and a 3-axis accelerometer. Throughout the day and night, these sensors continuously capture heart rate, respiration rate, blood oxygen saturation, daily step counts, and calories burned.

At night, the CIRQA monitors sleep architecture, breaking down light, deep, and REM sleep stages while calculating a nightly Sleep Score. It automatically detects naps during the day and tracks heart variability status during rest. Integrated overnight skin temperature tracking provides a deeper health context, enabling enhanced period predictions and historical ovulation estimates for women's health tracking.

All these metrics feed directly into Garmin's signature Body Battery energy monitoring system, giving users a dynamic 0-to-100 score reflecting physical stress and recovery. For fitness tracking, the band supports over 80 preloaded workout modes ranging from running, walking, and cycling to yoga and strength training. While the CIRQA does not contain built-in satellite receivers, it uses Connected GPS via a paired iOS or Android smartphone to record outdoor pace, distance, and routes.

Despite continuous 24/7 optical tracking, the internal lithium-ion battery provides up to 10-days of battery life on a single charge. Recharging is completed in roughly 90 minutes using an included magnetic USB-C charging cable.
