In an advisory found on its Help Center webpage, GCash said,

Starting July 4, 2026, InstaPay transfers will be lowered to PHP 10 per transaction. Update your GCash app to the latest version to reflect the new fee.

Basically, lowering the InstaPay fee to PHP 10 makes everyday transfers more affordable, helping users save on frequent transactions. It also encourages wider adoption of digital payments by reducing costs for small, routine money movements.

The move aligns with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Circular No. 1238, which promotes fair and reasonable pricing for electronic fund transfers.

Unlike BPI, GCash's InstaPay transfers aren't free. The two operate independently, even if both fall under the Ayala Group, which fueled hopes from netizens that GCash might eventually waive fees as well.
