FREE InstaPay transfers with UnionBank

After BPI and RCBC's similar announcements, UnionBank of the Philippines announced that there are zero (0) fees when their users use InstaPay.

Instead of paying PHP 10 for every transaction, the service is now FREE when the user uses InstaPay to other banks or e-wallets via the UnionBank Online app starting today, June 7, 2026.

In a Facebook post, UnionBank also encourages Filipinos to "open a UnionBank Online account now to unlock a suite of useful ZERO-FEE services so you can do A LOT MORE for LESS!"

UnionBank's move aligns with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' recent push for financial institutions to adopt fair, market‑based pricing for person‑to‑person electronic fund transfers.
