DICT: Converge ICT rules PH fixed broadband performance in Q2 2026

According to DICT's Oplan Bantay Signal report, Converge ICT delivered the country's strongest fixed broadband performance in the second quarter.

Strongest network in PH?

The Department of Information and Communications Technology's data revealed that the telco is leading in download speed, symmetric upload, and lowest latency.

In particular, Converge posted an industry‑best 158 Mbps download speed and the lowest average latency at 5 milliseconds.

Reflecting sustained improvements in service quality, its customer complaints also fell 84% from January to June.

Moreover, Converge‑served areas were classified as a "crisis city" (below 15 Mbps average speed) during the quarter, though three cities remain in the 15–30 Mbps range.

CEO Dennis Anthony Uy emphasized that continuous investments have pushed upload speeds to a six‑month high and delivered best‑in‑class latency.

DICT Secretary Henry Aguda noted the sharp drop in complaints as proof of Converge’s targeted network upgrades.

Complementing this, Converge was honored with the "Bayani sa Last Mile" award at the Digital Bayanihan Awards for expanding broadband access to underserved communities.

Converge also swept Ookla's Speedtest Intelligence honors for the first half of 2026, winning
Best Internet," "Fastest Internet," and "Best Fixed Latency."

As of May 2026, Converge claims that they operate the country's largest fiber‑to‑the‑home network, spanning 960,000 fiber kilometers.
