Globe and DICT expand connectivity in Pangasinan's zero‑signal zones

Connectivity in zero-signal zones

The initiative extends Globe's mobile network to 52 previously unserved sites (GIDA or Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Area), delivering coverage to zero‑signal communities for the first time.

It is also designed to strengthen services across 128 underserved areas. This is a part of Globe's commitment to provide reliable access in 180 project locations under DICT’s digital inclusion program.

The ceremony gathered DICT Undersecretary Heherson Asiddao, Mayor Joganie Rarang, education officials, community leaders, and Globe executives. Residents received Bayanihan SIM cards, gaining immediate access to mobile data and digital services.

Mayor Rarang welcomed the project, underscoring its impact on education, commerce, and community resilience.

For Globe, the activation underscores its mission to build a connected, inclusive Philippines—opening access to learning, services, healthcare, livelihoods, and communication.
