HONOR Pad 20 Pro launched: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 165Hz 12.1-inch LCD, and PC mode

HONOR officially unveiled the Pad 20 Pro, a new large-screen tablet that follows the standard Pad 20 launched in May.

The device will be available in a Gray color option, measures 6.29mm in thickness, and weighs approximately 537g. 

Alongside the Pro model, HONOR is also introducing a Paperlike Edition featuring an anti-glare display intended to replicate a paper-like reading experience. 

In front, the tablet sports a 12.1-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 3000 x 1872 at  292ppi and a refresh rate of 165Hz. 

The display

The screen supports 1.07 billion colors, reaches a peak brightness of 700 nits, and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut. 

HONOR has also incorporated several eye-care features into the display, including global DC dimming, dynamic dimming, hardware-level low blue light filtering, and AI-driven eye comfort adjustments.

Inside, the tablet runs on Qualcomm's 3.21GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.

The device also offers an AI Memo feature capable of recording meetings, transcribing audio to text, generating summaries, and producing mind maps. Additionally, it is compatible with the Honor Magic-Pencil 4s stylus, which Honor says can deliver up to 10 hours of continuous writing following a 50-minute charge.

The battery

Powering the device is a 10,100mAh battery, which Honor states can provide up to 12 hours of video playback, seven hours of gaming, eight hours of note-taking, or 13 hours of reading on a single charge. 

For imaging, the Pad 20 Pro includes a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies.

The tablet is also equipped with a six-speaker stereo setup that supports DTS Ultra audio.

In terms of connectivity, the tablet supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, though it does not include a SIM card slot, limiting it to Wi-Fi-only connectivity.

The device runs on MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16, providing the software foundation for its PC Mode, AI features, and overall user interface.
