OPPO Reno16 Pro 5G now official in PH: Dimensity 8550 SUPER, 100-degree Selfie camera, and PHP 74,999

OPPO Philippines officially introduces the new Reno16 Pro 5G, its Barkada Content-centric smartphone.

When compared to the previous generation, the main upgrades on the new Reno16 Pro 5G include the new MediaTek Dimensity 8550 SUPER SoC, 6,700mAh battery, IP69K rating, and the new 3D Pop Planet Design.

In the Philippines, the OPPO Reno16 Pro 5G is priced at PHP 74,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant.

It features a rear panel that utilizes a one-piece cold-sculpted design where a single piece of glass gracefully contours directly into the rear camera housing without sharp camera bumps or hash seam lines. 

The middle frame is made of aerospace-grade aluminum.

It measures 151.21 x 72.42 x 8.36mm and weighs 188 grams.

In front is the 6.32-inch AMOLED screen with a 2,640 x 1,216 resolution, a 1,800 nits peak brightness, a 144hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and is Crystal Guard protected. Around it are ultra-thin bezels that help achieve a 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Inside are the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SUPER octa-core processor, ARM G720 MC8 GPU, 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 6,700mAh battery with 80 SUPERVOOC fast wired charging via USB-C.

At the back of the phone are the 200MP f/1.8 main camera, a 50MP f/2.8 3.5x optical telephoto camera, and a 50MP f/2.0 116-degree ultra-wide angle camera with an LED flash.

In front, and in the punch hole, is the front-facing 50MP f/2.0 100-degree selfie camera with 4K video recording.

Running the show is ColorOS 16.0 based on Android 16.

Other features include 5G, Dual NanoSIM, eSIM, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 LE, In-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, and IR blaster.

It is available in either Starlight Black or Pop White.

When paired with the new OPPO Bubble, users can take advantage of the rear cameras to capture themselves and their barkada.
