Ahead of launch, live images of the Mate90 Pro Max started appearing on Weibo.

Available in a stunning-looking two-tone Green colorway, a user named MasterWu demonstrated that it supports a massive camera zoom module (Ruiying Z10 teleconverter w/ 1-inch CMOS sensor), which can be attached to the entire circular camera system of the phone—just like a mirrorless camera.

When zooming

Unlike other brands that support only one image sensor, this camera lens attachment covers the phone’s entire camera module.

According to the post, it achieves continuous 10x zoom from 24mm to 240mm with an f/2.0 to f/4.5 aperture, making it capable of handling bird shots and concert photography with ease.

Despite its size, the weight is quite manageable and easy to attach.

The Mate90 Series consists of the regular Mate90, Mate90 Pro Max, and Mate90 Pro Max RS.

The Pro Max is said to feature a 6.9-inch 12,000-nit dual-layer OLED screen and 200MP 4x periscope zoom. The Pro Max is powered by the new Kirin 9050 Pro chip.
