World record? vivo V80 Lite 5G lasted 32 hours and 37 minutes under heavy workloads

Chinese tech firm vivo has launched the V80 Lite 5G, and its claim to fame? A massive 10,000mAh "Long-Lasting BlueVolt Battery."

Guinness World Record for battery endurance

The device holds a Guinness World Record for battery endurance, achieving the "Longest electronic product testing live stream" at 32 hours and 37 minutes, conducted from August 5 to 6, 2026.

The test took place in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where the phone underwent a series of demanding trials. These included continuous, high-drain scenarios such as GPS navigation, graphically intensive gaming, photography and videography, video streaming, voice calls, and other heavy workloads.

According to the company, its battery was made with 4th‑Gen Silicon Anode Technology. This device delivers exceptional endurance without added bulk and is designed to retain at least 80% capacity after 1,400 full charge cycles or up to seven years.

It can be charged with a 44W power brick and also supports reverse charging, allowing it to function as a power bank during emergencies.

The device also has military-grade drop resistance and IP68/69 dust and water resistance, available in Pink, Green, and Black colors.

In front, it uses a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen w/ 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K 2800 x 1260 resolution at 449 ppi, 2,000 nits brightness, and an In-Display fingerprint sensor.

Inside, the phone is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300e octa-core processor with Arm Mali-G610 graphics, 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The device also dual-camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 + 2MP f/2.4 + rear flash and a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

The phone measures 163.9 x 76.5 x 8.55 mm and weighs 224 grams.
