Two new smartwatches!

REDMI Watch 6 Lite

The first of the two new wearables is the REDMI Watch 6 Lite. It features a flat-edge polymer frame with a slim 9.9mm profile and a raised physical side button. Fronting the device is a 1.96-inch square AMOLED display with thin 2.88mm borders, 2.5D curved glass, and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. The watch uses a quick-release mechanism for its flexible wave-textured strap, while the back houses an optical sensor array and charging contacts.

Inside, the device has a 470mAh battery that is advertised for up to 12 days of normal use and up to18 days of use in power-saver mode. It connects via Bluetooth 5.3 and has a built-in multi-system satellite receiver. It measures motion via a 9-axis motion sensor.

It supports hands-free Bluetooth phone calls directly from the wrist and always-on display modes. Health features include continuous heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, sleep analysis, and stress level measurement. The system includes 150 activity modes and carries a 5 ATM water-resistance rating for swimming.

Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active

Next is the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active. It features a lightweight pill-shaped chassis weighing 18 grams. It is built with a matte metal paint middle frame and a 1.47-inch screen reinforced with 2.5D Glass. It comes with a textured TPU strap, while magnetic charging pins and a heart rate sensor sit flush against the rear casing.

The band runs on an efficient internal microcontroller paired with a 300mAh battery. Internal hardware includes a PPG heart-rate sensor, a 3-axis accelerometer, and an ERM vibration motor. Battery life reaches up to 21 days in basic operation mode and up to 8 days of regular use.

The software provides activity tracking across 50 workout modes and pairs with smartphones via the Mi Fitness app over Bluetooth 5.3. It offers continuous health tracking for heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep stages, and menstrual cycles. The band is also rated 5 ATM water-resistant for underwater use.
