How to start trading crypto in GCash?

GCrypto, powered by the Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX), is available inside the GCash app.

According to GCash, users can set up a crypto account in as fast as 30 seconds, receive and transfer crypto from other wallets and exchanges, trade digital assets, and fund their portfolio with zero cash-in fees.

By streamlining onboarding, supporting crypto transfers, and offering direct fiat-to-crypto conversion, GCash said GCrypto lets users take part in global market movements without relying on complex peer-to-peer (P2P) workarounds or encountering funding delays.

Registration is open to fully verified, eligible GCash users aged 18 and above. 

To sign up:

• Open the GCash app
• Go to the Invest tab and select GCrypto
• Complete the application process, which GCash says gives instant approval

Once registered, users can top up their trading wallet in real time from their GCash balance with no transfer fees, and trade 24/7 on their phones. GCash said the process involves no tedious paperwork submission. The platform offers up to 55 curated cryptocurrencies.

GCrypto also supports sending and receiving crypto, so users can move digital assets to and from external wallets and exchanges without having to sell or liquidate their holdings.

To transfer Bitcoin from another wallet into GCrypto:

Tap Bitcoin on your GCrypto dashboard and select Receive

Copy your receiving address or display the QR code

Paste the address into your external wallet, confirm that the transaction details match, then send

Once the transaction is confirmed on-chain, the funds appear in your GCrypto wallet, ready to hold or trade.
