Design-wise, the resemblance from the boxy Nextbit Robin was very evident. In case you missed it, Razer has acquired Nextbit last January which enabled them to make their first smartphone.

Specs wise, the Razer Phone is simply designed for gaming. It is crafted out of all-aluminum CNC chassis to give it a solid overall fell. In front, the handset highlights a 5.7-inch IGZO 1440p LCD w/ wide color gamut and 120Hz refresh rate.

It didn't follow the bezel-less trend as bezels are still needed for better gaming ergonomics. In addition, Razer was able to maximize the use of those top and bottom bezels by putting two front-facing stereo speakers w/ its own amp on each speaker. Moreover, it was certified by THX audio and has Dolby Atmos surround sound tech!

However, there's no 3.5 mm headphone jack, although you do get a USB Type-C to headphone adapter in the box to use the phone's 24-bit ready DAC for your HiFi audio needs on the go.

Inside, it is a beast! The Razer Phone is powered by Qualcomm's trusty 64-bit Snapdragon 835 chipset paired w/ Adreno 540 GPU. Razer has also collaborated w/ Qualcomm to make the phone have an adaptive refresh technology that syncs the GPU and the display to ensure that there's no lag at all, the UltraMotion.

It also whopping 8GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and large 4,000mAh battery w/ Quick Charge 4.0+ technology.

On the camera part, the handset boasts a 12MP f/1.75 + 13MP f/2.6 zoom dual camera setup behind and an 8MP f/2.0 wide camera for selfies.

There's a fingerprint scanner on the power button on the side, WiFi, 4G LTE, GPS, and A-GPS as well.

The handset comes w/ Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box, but it will be updated to Oreo Q1 next year. It measures at 158.5 x 77.7 x 8 mm and weighs 197g.
