Rumors: Huawei Honor 9 Might Not Come With A Headphone Jack Anymore
Huawei is allegedly working on the successor of the Honor 8, the Honor 9. Recently, several leaked rendered images of the said handset surfaced online.
To excite us, the leaked images shows that the handset will follow Huawei P10's design by embedding the fingerprint scanner in the home button in front. The black border screen bezels will also be slimmer to make it look better. In addition, a glass-like material is found at the back to make the handset even sleeker.
However, it followed one of the most controversial (if not the most hated) feature found on the Apple iPhone 7 series. Based on a couple of top and bottom pictures, the Honor 9 might not have a 3.5 mm audio jack anymore. At the bottom, there is a USB Type C port and speaker grills. On top, there's no port or any slot.
The rest of the details are still unknown for now. But, let's expect it to be better than the current Honor 8 except for the lack of the very important headphone jack slot.
