1. Cloudfone Excite Prime 2 -  The Excite Prime 2 has some of the best, if not the best, specs under PHP 6K. It has a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 2.5D Glass and scratch resistant protection. Under the hood, it has a 1.3 Ghz 64 bit quad-core processor, 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of expandable storage, and a 3000 mAh battery. It also has LTE connectivity with band 28. It has Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box too. The rear camera has a 13 MP f/2.0 Sony IMX135 w/ AF, auto portrait mode and led flash while the selfie cam has an 8 MP f/2.0 lens with portrait mode and soft light flash.

Huawei Y5 2017

Huawei Y5 2017 - At PHP 5,890, Huawei's offering in this price range is the Y5 2017 which has a 5 inch HD IPS display, 1.4 GHz 64 bit quad core processor, 2 GB of RAM + 16 GB of expandable storage. The camera setup consists of 8 MP f/2.0 lens w/ AF and dual tone led flash at the back and a 5 MP f/2.4 84 degree wide angle lens up front. It also has a 3,000 mAh battery as well. It is on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1.

Samsung J2 Prime

3. Samsung J2 Prime - The J2 Prime at PHP 5,990 has a 5 inch qHD display with a 960 x 540 resolution. It has a 1.3 Ghz 64 bit quad core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM with 8 GB of expandable storage, LTE connectivity and a 2,600 mAh battery. It has an 8 MP f/2.2 rear camera with AF and LED flash while up front it sports a 5 MP f/2.2 camera with LED flash. It is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Samsung's Touchwiz UI. This is a great entry level device from one of the leading brands in the world.

Vivo Y53 - Vivo's Y53 priced at PHP 5,990 has a 5 inch qHD IPS display with a 960 x 540 resolution, 1.4 Ghz 64 Bit quad core Snapdragon 425 processor, 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB of expandable storage, LTE connectivity and a 2,500 mAh battery. It is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well with Vovo's FunTouch OS. A Snapdragon processor is kind of uncommon in this price range so Vivo has that going for them.

Infinix Note 3

5. Infinix Note 3 - This smartphone was once priced at above PHP 6K. Now that the price is slashed to just PHP 5,499 at Lazada, it is really something to take notice of. It has a 6 inch FHD IPS display, 1.3 Ghz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB of expandable storage, LTE connectivity and a bigger 4,500 mAh battery. At the back, it has a 13 MP camera with AF and LED flash while up front it has a 5 MP shooter with a LED flash as well. It is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with their own XOS. It is a phablet under PHP 6K that can deliver in performance as well.

Meizu M5c

6. Meizu M5c - Meizu is also rocking this price range with the M5c at at PHP 5,990. It has a sleek design, a 5-inch HD IPS display with 2.5D glass. It also has a 1.3 Ghz 64 Bit processor, 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB of expandable storage, LTE connectivity and 3,000 mAh of battery. The cameras are consisting of an 8 MP f/2.0 with AF and dual-tone LED flash at the back with a 5 MP f/2.0 shooter for selfies. It is running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with FlyMe OS 6.0 on top of it. It also sports a fingerprint scanner which is not common in this price range.

It also has a 13 MP shooter at the back with AF and dual tone LED flash and a 5 MP selfie camera. It is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top of it.

8. Cherry Mobile Flare P1 Plus - Cherry's lone entry in this list is the Flare P1 Plus at PHP 5,999. It has a 5.5 inch FHD screen, 1.5 GHz 64 Bit MT6737T quad core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB epxandable storage, 3,000 mAh battery, 13 MP + 5 MP dual camera setup, 8 MP selfie cam, 700 MHz LTE, and Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
