CES 2018: Sennheiser releases CX 6.00BT wireless IEM and HD 820 closed-back headphones

At the ongoing CES 2018, Sennheiser joined the party with the launch of the new CX 6.00BT in-ear monitors and the high-end HD 820 closed-back headphones.

The Sennheiser CX 6.00BT highlights an ultra-light 14-gram frame designed to provide good fit and comfort. It has a driver with 17 to 21,000 Hz, SPL of - 112 dB (1kHz/0 dBFS), THD + N, and total harmonic distortion and noise - <0.5% (1kHz, 100dB).

It has Bluetooth 4.2 tech and Qualcomm apt-X Low Latency compatibility to keep audio transmission perfectly in sync with the visuals.

It also has a three button remote that lets you control music and calls, up to 6 hours battery life with fast charging (2 hours of listening with just 10 minutes of charging), and 4 sizes of silicon tips (XS, S, M, L).
Sennheiser HD 820

On the other hand, the Sennheiser HD 820 is a high-end closed-back headphones made out of robust metal headband with inner damping element. It also has a soft handcrafted microfiber ear pads which can provide excellent attenuation of ambient noise.

Inside, Sennheiser claimed that its drivers has an innovative technology to make the headphones sound breathtakingly transparent and natural.

It also has Sennheiser's  Ring Radiator transducers are fitted with unique glass covers. It is a type of concave glass which reflects the sound waves from the rear of the transducer to an absorber, which results in minimal resonance.

In short, it'll probably mimic the soundstage of open headphones.

The HD 820 also goes with a specially tuned ymmetrical, impedance-matching silver-cladded OFC cables with low capacitance and a balanced 4.4 mm gold plug.

The Sennheiser CX 6.00BT retails for USD 99 (around PHP 5K) while the Sennheiser HD 820 closed-back headphones is priced at 2,399 Euros (around PHP 144K).

Both are now on pre-order in US.
