Sony launches α7 III Full-Frame Mirrorless camera in the Philippines!

Sony just launched their latest full-frame mirrorless camera in the α7 III. Sony says it has the latest imaging tech in a very compact form factor.

The new α7 III features a 24.4MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor that is said to have an increased sensitivity, great resolution and 15 stops of dynamic range and even at low sensitivities.

It also has a wide ISO range of 100 - 51200 and is expandable up to 204800 ISO for still images. It can also up to 10 FPS of continuous full resolution photos.

It also has an autofocus system featuring 693 phase-detection AF points which covers 93% of image area. It also has 425 contrast AF points and a fast and reliable Eye AF. In addition to that, it has a 5-axis in-body OIS and 5.0 step shutter speed advantage.

It is capable of High Resolution 4K Movie shooting with full pixel readout and no pixel binning for full width of full frame sensor. Sony also promises 710 shots per change which they tout to be the longest rated battery life of any mirrorless camera. 

Sony also included improvements in build, function and design. The α7 III now has a joystick for adjusting focus points. It also now has dual media slots which includes one for UHS-II type SD memory cards. It also has an XGA OLED Tru-Finder monitor. It also has WiFi connectivity, "SuperSpeed USB" 3.1 Gen 1 USB Type-C for power and data transfer.

The Sony α7 III is also dust and moisture resistant which makes durable as well. It also comes with Sony's new software called Imaging Edge which includes pre-processing and post-processing features including remote, viewer and edit.

The Sony α7 III has two variants which are:

ILCE-7M3K - PHP 129,999
ILCE-7M3 - PHP 115,999

Both variants will be available starting April 27 in all Sony Centers and Sony authorized nealers nationwide.
