You may now register via the GlobeOne App!

As part of the telco's National SIM Registration Week, they are giving more convenient options for their consumers to complete the Law mandated process.

Using the GlobeOne app which is downloadable via the App Store or Google Play Store. Users may put in the necessary information and documents to complete it.

Below is the list of requirements:

  • Full name
  • Birthday
  • Sex
  • Address
  • Type of government ID presented and ID number
  • Valid government ID with photo (file size only up to 4MB)
  • Selfie photo (file size only up to 4MB)

Upon having those requirements ready, you may now proceed with the app and perform three easy steps:

  1. Tap "Register Your SIM" in the app
  2. Select the account you want to register or enter your number. Update your info.
  3. Wait for confirmation that you're registered!

Globe also says to stay vigilant with individuals or parties offering their services to help you in the SIM Registration as this may lead to identity theft. As an example, online criminals may use your personal info to hack your bank accounts, and e-wallets or create fake social media accounts with your name and photo to do illicit activities.

Meanwhile, Globe has deployed over 500 offline booths across the country to aid Senior Citizens, PWDs, pregnant women, and users with basic or feature phones and anybody that are in need of help to get their SIM cards registered. This is to ensure that all consumers will follow the new Law.

Again both the Government and the telecommunication companies are strongly encouraging everyone to register now and don't wait for the deadline of April 26,2023 to avoid any unnecessary hassles it may bring.

What do you guys think?
