Globe launches National SIM Registration Week to encourage users to register ASAP!

Globe Telecom launched National SIM Registration Week as a way to encourage its customers to register ASAP.

In line with this, the telco is rolling out over 500 offline booths nationwide with a strong presence in Visayas and Mindanao (assisted by LGUs) so that consumers can have an easier way to complete the process of registration.

The said regions are mostly with users with weak internet signals, and use feature phones with no internet access that's why Globe will prioritize them.

They are also doing this to assist Senior Citizens, PWDs, and pregnant women who need further assistance in registering their SIM cards.

Meanwhile, users in Luzon, particularly in Metro Manila with strong access to the internet can easily register their Globe SIM cards (prepaid) in the new website portal or through the Globe One App. While the Postpaid and Platinum users have a simpler way by texting SIMREG to 8080.

Globe is confident that its systems have enough space to handle the incoming huge volumes of registrants in the said week, said Darius Delgado, Strategy Execution Director at Globe Telecom

The Government and Globe highly encourage everyone "do not wait for the April 26 deadline in registering their SIM Cards" It should be done right away to avoid unnecessary hassles such as deactivating SIM cards "permanently", added by DICT Usec, Anna Mae Lamentillo.

The online registration process

Again, to register online, users will only need to go to the website portal or Globe One app, enter the user's number, present a Valid Government ID, and wait for confirmation.

When it comes to security, Globe says they are using the optical character scanner to verify the registrant's identity and if they are really the one who submitted the identification.

Those who will register will get exclusive rewards such as more reward points will be given to both prepaid and postpaid users and a chance to win concert tickets for BLACKPINK, Arctic Monkeys, and Wonderland.

The whole National SIM Registration begins today and will end on February 26, 2023.
