In China, Vivo silently launched the "upgraded" variant of the X21, the X21i. Instead of Snapdragon 660, Vivo used MediaTek's Helio P60 SoC with dual-core A.I. processor and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU on the X21i.

In addition, Vivo also upgraded its front facing camera. It now has a bigger 24MP selfie sensor with A.I. Face Beauty technology. According to Vivo it can recognize skin tone, gender, environment and applies the most suitable filter.

The rest of the specs are the same. It still has the notched 6.28-inch FHD+ 2280 x 1080 19:9 screen, impressive 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio, and tiny bezels.

It will also go with 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant and a 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM version. Both will go with 3,425mAh battery capacity.
At the back, it will also have a dual 12MP camera with A.I. scene detection.
It also has a fingerprint scanner at the back and 4G LTE connectivity. It has no In-Display fingerprint scanner this time though.
The Vivo X21i runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with FunTouch OS 4.0 skin on top.
The phone measures at 154.73 x 74.98 x 6.99 mm and weighs at 159g.
It will be available in China starting May 19 in ruby red, aurora white, and polar night black colors.
Both 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM and a 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM configurations will go with the same price of CNY 2,698 or around PHP 22K.
