Qualcomm, watch out!

According to the report of Anzhuo, the possible Kirin 1020 processor will come with 2x speed compared with their current Kirin 970 flagship chipset found on the likes of the Mate 10 and P20 series high-end smartphones.

It is reportedly being manufactured by TSMC using its 7 nm process. It should also come with a better NPU to handle A.I. tasks.

Moreover, it could be one of the first high-end chips that will come with the upcoming 5G mobile internet technology.

But before HiSilicon launch the Kirin 1020, the Huawei owned company could reveal the Kirin 980 first as the successor of Kirin 970 this year.

Huawei is also rumored to be working on the Kirin 710, a mid-range SoC that should be better than Qualmcomm's Snapdragon 710.

Pretty exciting right?
