Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has the same specs with Galaxy A9 Star

Few days ago, Samsung announced the Galaxy A9 Star in China. Today, we discovered that it will be dubbed as the Galaxy A8 Star in other parts of the world.

Like the Galaxy A9 Star, the Galaxy Galaxy A8 Star boasts a 6.28-inch FHD+  2220 x 1080 resolution screen. It also has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor with Adreno 512 GPU.

It also has 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card, and 3,700mAh fast charging battery via USB Type-C.

On the camera part, it goes with a 16MP f/1.7 aperture camera combined with a 24MP camera. It also has PDAF focus and LED flash.

For selfies, the device sports a 24MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

As expected the A8 Star also has a fingerprint scanner at the back, Dolby Atmos surround audio, Samsung pay, WiFi 802.11ac, 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, FM Radio, and Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with Samsung Experience 9.0 skin.

The device measures at 162.4 x 77 x 7.55 mm and weighs at 188 g.

In China, the A9 Star is priced at CNY 2,999 (PHP 24.8K).

According to Yugatech, the device will also launch in South Korea and Southeast Asia in the coming weeks.
