Honor 7S and Honor 7A with 18:9 screen goes official in the Philippines

Right on schedule, Honor launched the new 7S and 7A budget smartphones in the Philippines.

The Honor 7S is the more affordable device equipped with a 5.45-inch 18:9 HD+ 1440 x 720 screen on the top and the new 1.5GHz 64-bit MT6739 quad-core processor with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 inside.

It also has 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, 3,020mAh battery, 13MP PDAF main camera, 5MP selfie camera w/ LED flash, face unlock tech, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 8.1 Oreo OS w/ EMUI 8.1 skin.

Since its a budget device, it has no dedicated fingerprint scanner.

In case you missed our previous report, the Honor 7A has a 5.7-inch 18:9 screen with HD+ 1440 x 720 resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by the ageing yet still capable Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor with Adreno 505 GPU.

In other parts of the world, it has different RAM and ROM configurations. But in the Philippines, the variant we'll get is the one with 2GB RAM/16GB expandable ROM, and single 13MP f/2.2 back camera.

For selfies, Honor added a special type of 8MP snapper with Smart Selfie Toning flash. It also has face unlock that can detect up to 1024 facial features.

The Honor 7S and Honor 7A will be available in the Philippines this July 2018. The Honor 7S is priced at PHP 5,490 while the Honor 7A is priced at PHP 6,990.

But according to Honor, the Honor 7A will be on a flash sale on  Shopee Philippines for just PHP 5,990 on July 7, 14, and 30, 2018.

The Honor 7S will be available starting July 7 on Honor offline and online stores.
