Samsung Galaxy J8 (2018) with 16MP f/1.7 and 5MP f/1.9 dual cameras is coming to the Philippines!

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy J8 (2018) in India. Today, we learned from the local PR team of the Korean giant that the said device is coming to the Philippines too!

Dual cameras!

As a quick recap, the Samsung Galaxy J8 (2018) is a promising mid-ranger. It arrived with a stylish polycarbonate body and a 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display with HD+ 1440 x 720 resolution.

Under the hood, it runs with Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 450 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It is the very same chipset found on the Galaxy A6+ (2018) priced at PHP 22,990.

At the back, it has a 16MP f/1.7 + 5MP f/1.9 dual camera setup. It has a dual camera setup. Not only that, it has a bright and wide aperture sizes of f/1.7 and f/1.9.

Samsung also added a new camera tricks with the help of the dual camera like background blur shape, portrait dolly, and portrait backdrop.

Like what we stated previously, background blur shape adds softlight effect with different shapes, the portrait dolly delivers a moving GIF image with zoom movements in the background, and the portrait backdrop gives funky background effects.

For selfies, it has a single 16MP f/1.9 front camera with portrait mode and LED flash.

As expected, this handset has face unlock tech and fingerprint scanner too.

We could have a new affordable lowlight photography phone if Samsung will price this one right.
