AnTuTu's top 10 highest scoring Android smartphones for August 2018

A couple of months ago, AnTuTu listed the 10 best performing smartphones of June and the Xiaomi Black Shark topped the list. Did Black Shark maintain its place?

Black Shark did stay atop with a score of 282,887. Surprisingly, close behind it at second place is the Meizu 16 Plus with a score of 291,025. The Meizu 16 Plus also has a heat spreader that may have done its function and helped its performance.

The Black Shark is still on the top of the food chain!

Xiaomi Black Shark still tops the list!

In order, it is followed by the Smartisan Nut R1, Vivo NEX, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer and the OPPO Find X. The OnePlus 6 went down to number 7 from 3rd place and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 joins the party as well. To round out the list, the XIaomi Mi 8 is at 9th place and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is at the 10th.

Nearly all of these devices sport the same SoC with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. The Galaxy Note9 could come with either Snapdragon or Exynos chip.

The difference in score comes in optimization, driver updates and thermal management.
