Build Quality/Design
 |
LITEweight plastic material |
Cherry Mobile Omega Lite 4 is purely made of plastic as expected. It features a removable body for the SIM cards, microSD, and battery placements. You can also feel the slight camera hump at the back. On top is has a pre-installed screen protector without any home button.

The micro USB port for charging is placed on top of the phone along with the 3.5 mm headphone jack for music.
There is one grille speakers placed at the bottom. The left is clean without any buttons while the right side has the volume rocker and power button.
Overall, the phone's build and design is decent for its price.
Display Quality
 |
5-inch LCD display |
The Omega Lite 4 features a 5-inch LCD FWVGA+ 960 x 480 resolution at 215 ppi. The display is outdated for 2018 and still there are much better displays at this price point.
It is one of the few with a tall 18:9 screen aspect ratio where you can view more.
But it has overall decent display with nice viewing angles. Sunlight legibility is fine.
Sadly, it has only 2 points of multitouch.
Audio Quality
Omega Lite 4 features a single grille speaker placed at the bottom. It makes a nice casual listening but it's not that loud. Sound distortion is there but you can't notice it that much since it's not too loud.
For earphones, it has nice audio, but the crooked is more noticeable. But just like the loudspeaker, it still makes a casual listening while using earphones.
But, we suggest that you stream music through Spotify and MP3 so that you don't have to store files on the phone.
The phone is equipped with single microphone. It makes nice calls and casual recording although it does not support ambient noise cancellation.
Battery Quality
 |
5 hours and 56 minutes |
Cherry Mobile Omega Lite 4 is packed with 2,000mAh of battery.
On our battery test, it lasted for a total of 5 hours and 56 minutes. It is low but let's blame it on the phone's low battery capacity.
In reality, Cherry Mobile Omega Lite 4 can manage to stay up to more almost 7 hours under light to moderate usage of browsing, texting, and calling.
Charging time is almost 2 hours.
Camera
 |
8MP rear camera |
Cherry Mobile Omega Lite 4 sports an 8MP f/2.8 AF rear camera with LED flash. It has face beauty, HDR, and panorama mode.
As expected, the HDR mode requires you to be steady for some second to take a clear shot rather than a blurry one.
It's photo samples are decent and acceptable. It captures nice under daylight, with okay colors. But do not expect much from it under lowlight.
It could have been better, but for the price, the results are just fine.

Meanwhile, Omega Lite 4 is equipped with a 5MP selfie camera. Its face beauty feature over-beautifies the subject even at level 1.
 |
5MP selfie camera |
Like the primary shooter, do not expect too much for it. It can capture decent selfies in daylight. But, it is still grainy in general. It also has poor lowlight performance.
The angle is a bit narrow too. The subject occupies the full frame so it requires the user to take selfies while holding the phone far enough from the face.

For videos, this smartphone seems to write a maximum of 720p setting only and do not expect nice quality of videos.
Performance

Benchmark scores |
Cherry Mobile Omega Lite 4 runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) which means it has lighter apps that complements to its low RAM count and fair processor. It is equipped with 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor coupled with Mali-400 MP2 GPU.
As expected, it has only 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card.
Omega Lite 4's performance is fine. The Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition)'s light apps made it for the smartphone to conserve its low internal storage and RAM count. It has lags when we multitask but it is bearable compared with the same smartphones at this price point.

Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) icons on Omega Lite 4 |
Of course, the heavy 3D games such as PUBG Mobile, NBA 2K18, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang cannot be supported by this smartphone. But we still enjoyed playing Candy Crush.
Heat management of the phone is okay. We noticed it heating up when we've used it for some straight hours but it's not alarming.
The Omega Lite 4 uses the Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition)'s app icons. It has several bloats as well.
Th rest of the telephony experience works fine. Overall, the Cherry Mobile Omega Lite 4 has a decent and acceptable performance.
It has no LTE connectivity.
Pros - Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition), decent screen, nice battery, affordability
Cons - Two points of touch only, no LTE connectivity, poor selfie camera
Verdict
Cherry Mobile Omega Lite 4 has an overall decent and acceptable performance.
We are happy to say that it has the necessary features of a smartphone at this price point.
