Xiaomi releases Mi 8 Youth with Snapdragon 660 and Mi 8 Pro with In-Display fingerprint sensor in China

Xiaomi just released two new variants of the Mi 8 in China. It include the Mi 8 Youth and Mi 8 Pro.

Obviously, the Mi 8 Lite is the lower-end model. On the other hand, the Mi 8 Pro is equipped with top-end specs and a In-Display fingerprint scanner ala modern Vivo smartphones.

The Mi 8 Lite will come with a 6.26-inch screen with Snapdragon 660 AIE processor inside. It also has up to 6GB RAM, up to 128GB storage, and 3,350mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 tech. It'll also come with a 12MP + 5MP dual cameras behind and a 24MP snapper for selfies.

The Mi 8 Pro packs similar specs with the regular Mi 8. It still has the 6.21-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 845 flagship SOC, dual 12MP cameras, 20MP AI selfie camera, and IR face unlock tech.

But again, it'll come with an In-Display fingerprint sensor versus the regular rear facing fingerprint sensor of the Mi 8.

Both phones could come with cool-looking gradient designs which reminds us of modern Huawei phones. The Mi 8 Lite will come in dream blue and twilight gold gradient colors or a plain black color.

The Mi 8 Pro will come in twilight gold gradient color or ochre black color.

The Mi 8 Lite has a starting price of CNY 1,399. On the other hand, the Mi 8 Pro has a starting price of CNY 3,199 for the 6GB RAM/128GB ROM version while the 8GB RAM/128GB ROM edition is priced at CNY 3,599.

There's no word regarding the local availability of the phones yes yet.
