LG V40 ThinQ with a total of 5 cameras is now official!

The LG V40 ThinQ is now official. It's the first smartphone of the company with 5 cameras in total. There's a triple-camera setup behind and a dual-camera configuration in front.

But before we go to the camera details, the LG V40 ThinQ has the specs and features of a 2018 flagship smartphone. It still features the MIL-STD-810G certified body with IP68 water and dust resistance.

6.4-inch OLED screen

In front, it has a 6.4-inch OLED FullVision screen with QHD+ 3120 x 1440 resolution at 538 ppi, 19.5:9 aspect ratio with notch, and HDR10 support.

Color options

Under the hood, it'll go with the Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, 6GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage, expandable via microSD card slot up to 2TB, and 3,300mAh Quick Charge 3.0 (Compatible with Quick Charge 4) battery.

At the back, it has a 12MP f/1.5 78-degree primary camera with 1.4μm paired with a 16MP f/1.9 107-degree super wide camera and a 12MP f/2.4 3x telephoto camera.

LG also added Dual Pixel autofocus and digital image stabilization with HDR recording for videos. It can shoot up to 4K at 60 fps and 1080p at 240 slow-mo mode.

For selfies, it has an 8MP f/1.9 80-degree primary shooter paired with a 5MP f/2.2 90-degree camera.

As expected, all the cameras has AI scene detection. It also has the AI composition which can help you frame your shot properly.

This device also has the fingerprint scanner at the back, Boombox stereo speakers, 32-bit HiFi quad DAC, Super Far Field Voice Recognition, FM Radio, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE with 4 Band CA, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, and GLONASS.

It measures at 158.7 x 75.8 x 7.7 mm and weighs at 169 g. The available colors are the following: new aurora black, new platinum gray, new moroccan blue, and carmine red.

The phone loads with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

The V40 ThinQ will be available starting October 18 with a starting price of USD 900 (PHP 48K).
