The latest SKY on Demand Box can convert non-smart TVs into one via simple installation and download of a smartphone app.

This first-of-its-kind TV box will allow its subscribers to watch and enjoy premium cable TV channels, stream shows and movies through the built-in access with Netflix, YouTube, and SKY on Demand, the company's online streaming service exclusive to its subscribers.

The new SKY on Demand box simplifies this viewing experience of Filipinos by enabling content preferences to be accessible on TV using just one device, says Claudia Suarez, SKY’s Business Unit Head of Consumer Product Group.

Aside from the access to the online content websites, SKY on Demand Box has now a new user interface where its users can easily access subscriber’s account information, a built-in TV guide, and a picture in picture (PIP) function.

With the PIP function, SKY on Demand Box users can monitor a different channel on a smaller screen, while watching another channel on the same TV. This new feature allows users to surf other content without missing out on the current show they are watching.

Another amazing feature that we love is that the new SKY on Demand Box app enables private listening so users can still watch shows on TV without distracting other family members at home. Other features of the app include watching cable TV shows on smartphones and controlling the new box using their smartphones.

This app is now available for download on both iOS and Android devices.
