Alcatel 3026, U3, 1, and 1X entry-level phones now in the Philippines

Aside form the Alcatel 5 and 5V, Alcatel introduced four new smartphones with entry-level specs and affordable price tag in the Philippines.

It include the Alcatel 3026 flip phone, Alcatel U3 ultra-budget smartphone, Alcatel 1, and Alcatel 1X Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphones.

Alcatel 3026, U3

First is the Alcatel 3026, it is a basic flip phone with SOS button for emergencies. It can store up to 10 individual contact details that will be contacted immediately when the SOS button is pushed.

Alcatel stated that the SOS feature will continue to call and text each of the remaining contacts until contact is made.

It is also equipped with a 2.8-inch display, large soft touch keypad, charging cradle for easy charging without cables, 2MP camera w/ LED flash, Bluetooth 2.1, and the "simple mode" for easy and safe use for all.

The 3026 is also equipped with a with M4/T4 hearing aid compatibility for the best telephone experience.

Alcatel U3

Next is is the Acatel U3, the company's ultra-budget smartphone. It is designed for those who are looking to get their first smartphone and those with very limited budget.

The U3 features a 4-inch screen with WVGA 800 x 480 resolution. Under the hood, it packs basic specs like the MediaTek MT6580M quad-core chip clocked at 1.3GHz.

It is paired with 512MB RAM, 4GB ROM, microSD card storage up to 32GB, and 1,500mAh of battery.

It also has an 8MP primary camera with LED flash, 2MP selfie camera, 3G connectivity, and a micro SIM slot.

Alcatel 1X and 1

The Alcatel 1 is the company's most affordable Android Oreo (Go edition) device in town. It is also one of the cheapest with a 5-inch 18:9 display with 480 x 960 resolution.

Interestingly, it is powered by the 64-bit MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with IMG GE8100 GPU. It also has 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable storage, and 2,000mAh of battery.

On the camera part, you will see a 5MP sensor at the back with LED flash and 2MP selfie snapper with screen flash.

This handset even has 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity and Android (Go edition) out of the box. You will see the lightweight Go apps. Android (Go edition) is simply designed to make phones with lesser hardware run smoothly.

Alcatel 1X

The other interesting offering of Alcatel is the Alcatel 1X. It is equipped with a texture back cover design and a large 5.3-inch 18:9 FWVGA+ 960 x 480 screen.

Under the hood, it loads with a 64-bit MT6739 quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz with IMG GE8100 GPU. It also has 1GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage up to 32GB, and 2,460mAh of battery capacity.

On the camera part, you will find an 8MP f/2.0 primary shooter with LED flash and 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera. It also has cool camera features like Instant Collage, Photo Booth, Social Square, and One-Handed mode.

The Alcatel 1X also features 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, and dual SIM card slot.

Like the Acatel 1, the 1X boots with Android Oreo (Go edition) OS out of the box.

It measures at 147.5 x 70.6 x 9.15 mm and weighs at 151 g.

The Alcatel 3026, U3, 1, and 1X are priced at PHP 2,490, PHP 2,690, PHP 3,990, and PHP 4,990 respectively.
