Alcatel 5 with selfie dual-camera now available in the Philippines

Aside from the Alcatel 5V, the French mobile brand also launched the Alcatel 5 in the Philippines.

The Alcatel 5 features a unique looking back cover design with brushed metal-like plastic body. In front, it features an 18:9 screen with 5.7-inch size, HD+ resolution, and slim bottom chin.

But, it has thick top bezels to house the selfie dual-camera setup, earpiece, sensors, and selfie LED flash.

The main selling point of this device are the two cameras in front. It goes with a 13MP f/2.0 primary selfie camera paired with a 5MP f/2.4 120-degree super wide-angle w/ LED flash. It simply means that it can shoot super wide-angle selfies when you active the secondary selfie camera. It should be great for groufies as you can fit a lot of people in one frame.

As expected, it also has face beauty and a lot of filters to try. It also uses the selfie cameras to take high-precision face unlock with 106 facial points.

The rest of the features

The handset also goes 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. The battery capacity is rated at 3,000mAh. It also has a 12MP primary shooter, fingerprint scanner at the back, 4G LTE, and dual SIM slots.

Sadly, the handset still runs with the ageing 64-bit MT6750 octa-core processor with Mali-T860 GPU and Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
